Nominate the speaker for the 2015 Research Week Keynote Address

We invite Faculty of Education graduate students to choose their own speaker for the 2015 Research Week Keynote Address, to be held May 11-14, 2015.

1) Nominate a speaker before January 19th – the organizing committee will draw a short list from all nominations received.

2) Vote for your preferred speaker between January 21 and February 9th.

3) Come and listen to the chosen speaker and ask some burning questions!

The 2015 Research Week Keynote Address is jointly sponsored by the Faculty of Education, the Year of Research in Education, and the Faculty-Wide Programs. The chosen speaker will appeal to researchers from across all five Faculty of Education units and further our conversation on the theme of this year’s Faculty-Wide Program Series: “The question of methodology in educational research: Possibilities and problematics enacted before, during, and after the doing of research.”

Every graduate student in the Faculty of Education may nominate a speaker of their choice. We strongly encourage you to contact the nominated speaker ahead of time (using the Sample contact letter) to assess their interest and availability. In consideration of the total budget for the event, you may want to consider nominating scholars from North America (especially Canada and the US West Coast), or other scholars who may be based in North America during the period (e.g., on sabbatical leave at a California university, or attending a conference at another Canadian institution).

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Brigitte Gemme, Manager, Research Services.
