Year of Research in Education and Research Week event presented by the Office of Graduate Programs and Research (OGPR) in Collaboration with the Graduate Student Council of the Faculty of Education.

TITLE:
Workshop on Academic Writing: Barrier Busters conducted by Isabeau Iqbal, PhD, Sessional Instructor

DATE/TIME:
May 14, 2015

“I write best when I have big chunks of time.” “I have writer’s block.” “I don’t know what to write.” If you have found yourself thinking any of those statements (and others), this session is for you! In this presentation, we will explore some commonly held beliefs that get in the way of our academic writing. I will draw on research to dispel these beliefs and present approaches to enhance our productivity as writers. You will leave with a set of “barrier busters” to try out right away.
